Abstract

Collaboration in ministry is not only indispensable but also an affirmation of our identity as disciples. We have been called by Christ to work together in realizing the Kingdom of God on earth. In the wake of Vatican II, the inclusive nature of the people of God united in one mission more than ever became evident. This article attempts to provide deep pastoral meaning and understanding of collaborative ministry. It proposes some collaborative skills and how they could be developed in a pastoral context and finally, it exposes the obstacles to collaboration and proffers remedies to them.
