Hekima Review No. 1 (April 1988)
It was during a first-year class meeting with the Dean of Studies two years ago that someone raised the question of publishing a review at the College. Last year during another similar meeting, the idea emerged once again, in reality very timidly. The Rector urged that the idea not be allowed to die. Together with the Dean, he encouraged the Students to discuss the possibility of a review and established a Committee to look into the project. What could the project of the review mean without the students' total involvement? Months passed again, until by October 1987, the Editorial Committee was constituted, made up of 6 Students and one Professor. Hekima Review aims to provide a forum for debate and reflection on current challenges and questions of social, cultural, and religious significance. Contributions to the review will, moreover, focus particularly on topics and issues relevant to the life of the Church in Africa.
