Biblical Exegesis and the Communion of Christians

Hekima ReviewAbstract
My subject is twofold: Ecumenism and Biblical Exegesis, and my purpose is to see if the latter can promote the former. For this, I will examine five points. Ecumenism is the search for communion among Christians. Ecumenists are inspired by the Bible: In John 17:21 Jesus prays "that they may all be one; even as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they may be in us so that the world may believe that thou hast sent me." Also, in Ephesians 4:4-5 Paul states: "There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the hope that belongs to your call, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of us all, who is above all and through all in all."
