SIGNIFICANT CONNECTIONS BETWEEN SCIENCE AND RELIGION

Abstract

The article acknowledges the so-called tension between science and religion; but goes ahead to clarify, by establishing upon the authority of some scholars, that there is no real tension between the two disciplines. What is perceived as a disagreement between science and religion is the tension between naturalism and science. Theistic religion (Christian Belief specifically) and science are significantly connected. Science and religion are gifts from God. How, then can two gifts from God contradict each other? e article x-rays the question from philosophical and historical perspectives and calls for dialogue between scientists and theists.
