Ezekiel’s Visionary Temple: A Blend of Tradition and Innovation in Theological Temple-Discourse
Keywords:

The concept of sacredness is crucial in theology. The indivisible interlaces of Who, What, and Where remains a determining factor in attributing sacredness. The latter transcends the qualitative character of beings (divine and human), as things are considered sacred. Everything is presumed or at least has the potential to be sacred. However, in recent times, the tendency to downplay the relevance of sacred milieu is on the increase. Also, the architectural grandeur of some religious loci questions their sacredness. Hence, it appears pressing to engage in theological temple discourse that re-considers the fitting architecture, personnel, and benefits of religious milieu. This paper advances Ezekiel’s temple vision (Ezekiel 40-48) as a suitable template.
