What can be considered central in Paul’s letters from an ecclesial perspective? Paul spent his energy and time founding churches. His letters are generally addressed to churches. This article shows not only that Pauline ecclesiology is concerned with the growth, stability, and integrity of the churches, but also that the theme of reconciliation is central to that ecclesiology. Reconciliation begins with God through the self-giving love of Jesus. The church, the people of God, is a reconciled humanity
