Abstract

In the preliminary pages of this book, Antoine Nachef comments on an observation made by an Irish Catholic woman who thought it is unnecessary to write a book on the lofty dignity and the exceptional roles of women defined by Jesus in the Gospels. “If women enjoy an touchable dignity,” she argues, “why should you talk about it when it is so obvious? Is it not like trying to fix something that does not need to be fixed?”
