Abstract

I am informed that this year, 1993 is dedicated to the theme of Inter-religious Understanding and Co-operation. This seminar may well be but one expression of the various ways in which Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University is working towards this inter-faith understanding and cooperation. I, therefore, want to start by commending Brahma Kumaris of this Raja Yoga Centre for their achievement in bringing into their centre people of diverse religious traditions, some of whom would be shy to visit a religious centre they are not familiar with. Those of us who are trying to understand what the Raja Yoga Movement is all about do appreciate the
Brahma Kumaris ' active efforts to promote personal and global peace in today's world which is characterized by strife and violence.
