Abstract

As we inhabit this common abode, we cannot help realizing that we all participate in some form of reality that goes beyond our human grasp. Now the question that comes up pertains to how we come to know about this reality. It is because the reality reveals itself to us. As Christians, we can understand this reality as God. This article calls for a peaceful and reconciled world, by explaining the reality of revelation as the fount of both grace and strength for forgiveness. Exploring the meaning and importance attached to the notion of Divine Revelation from earlier times, I will posit an appropriate reception and a practical appropriation of Divine Mercy as a sharp instrument for peace-building. Then I will show that, if we understand the concept of Divine Revelation properly, we can emulate our heavenly merciful Father and be merciful to one another; thus we become peace promoters and agents of veritable reconciliation in the world
