Insights into the Dynamics of Transitional Justice from the Fathers of the Church

Abstract

Social justice forms one of the central concerns of the theology of the Fathers of the early Church. All of them in their writings touch upon this issue in one way or another and many claim Scriptural authority for their assertions. Throughout the
history of the Church as well, this theological component has not been lacking, albeit with different emphases at different times. ais brief reflection seeks to indicate what contribution the thought of the Fathers can offer to contemporary Christian theological discourse on “transitional justice.”
