Africa continues to beg food from abroad after four decades of independence. This is a shame. One could link this situation with African value systems, structures of wealth creation, and the unwillingness to address the root causes of African problem. But actually, poverty in Africa is a more complex and multidimensional social reality. So far, attempts to understand this phenomenon remain indigent. Most of them are based upon the collection of unexamined sociological data and statistics.
