Pauline Qualities of a Preacher of the Word of God and the African Context

Abstract

This article is an investigation of some Pauline qualities of a preacher or minister of the word of God. We shall draw these
qualities from some of Paul’s letters after a brief consideration of Paul’s background and basic message. And in order to bring out the qualities of a preacher, we shall suggest his or her foundation and motives for preaching the word of God, and the role that a preacher plays in a Christian community. Some of the qualities will then be applied to examine the contemporary African context.
