Abstract

Since 1998, Rwandan, Ugandan, and Burundian troops, along with the Congolese rebel movements, have occupied more thatn half of Congo's territories. Congolese in Bukavu and its environs have not known peace; the rebels and their allies not only spread desolation in the area but also death.
