Abstract

The conflicting coexistence between religions, between Christians, but especially between Muslims and Christians is, in such a way that one may say, if another world war –which we do not wish- were to occur, it would surely be a religious war. This is not all. Religion is also used as a means of business; an instrument of politics. This ends up with spiritual and physical violence. As a result, spiritual poverty is added to material poverty, and they both constitute a challenge for security and peace in contemporary Africa.
