Culture and Its Impact on Evangelization

Abstract

Since my topic is "Culture and Its Impact on Evangelization" it is appropriate that I began with a consideration of the two terms "Culture" and " Evangelization". Culture can be described as an intergrated system of learned behaviour patterns which are characteristic of the members of a society and which are not the result of biological inheritance. On the other hand, evangelization is the sharing of the Good News. As human values must necessarily be expressed through a culture, so too is evangelization inextricably bound up with cultural expression. There is no evangelization without cultural expression. They go together.
