JACKSON OTTO MOSHA, SJ: A LIFE OF LOVE, HOPE AND FAITH
Keywords:
Life of LoveAbstract
Jack Roosevelt Robinson1 once said “A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives.” I chose these words because they explain why the Eastern Africa Province, through the intelligible work of Raymond Ngaiza and Fr Gustave Lobunda, saw it fitting to write the life story of Jackson Otto Mosha. Like William Shakespeare, Lobunda and Ngaiza, realized that there is “a history in all men’s life.” By their special affection to Jackson, the authors successfully recorded wonderful things about Jackson – wonderful things he did while at home and in school, as a youth member of the parish, and as a Jesuit novice and scholastic. Like the apostles as far as
the gospels are concerned, the authors testify to the world, what they saw and heard about Jackson - his words and deeds – to tell to the world, that more than three years ago, there was a young man - a faithful servant of God who passed away after living well the call to love, to hope and to keep faith and optimism in the midst of suffering. That in my view summarizes the objective of this book.
