Published in 2025 and edited by Stephen Eyeowa and Dieudonné Mbirindindi, Living Together Differently: A Theological Perspective
emerges from an interdisciplinary research project conducted through the JCAM Research Network.2 Bringing together scholars from diverse theological, biblical, and socio-political backgrounds, the book offers a rich tapestry of reflections grounded in realities and attentive to the complexities of contemporary life on the continent. This volume is unified by a central concern: the challenges and promises of modus vivendi in a world marked by difference, conflict, vulnerability, and rapid social change. Each chapter approaches this theme from distinct perspectives: bible, theology, canon law, and history. Yet all converge on the fundamental question of how human beings, communities, and nations can coexist peacefully. Ultimately, they explore how beliefs shape and foster our vivre
ensemble, a call towards universal fraternity and a shared destiny.
