A New Year, A New Semester! A New Horizon
Dear Hekima University College (HUC) The Peace of the Incarnate Lord!
A New Semester in the Christmas Season
Having bid farewell to 2022, at this dawning of 2023, I want to greet you all with my best wishes. I am humbled to be your Principal and I ask for your support, prayer, understanding and patience as we journey together. In turn, I offer to all, faculty, students and all staff my prayer support, understanding and patience. Let us work and enjoy the time we spend together, as the Jesuit slogan says: For the Greater Glory of God (Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam).
At Christmas time, we focused, once again, on the mystery of God becoming a human being. Not born into wealth or privilege, He was born in a stable and His bed was the feeding manger for animals. Symbolism is ripe in the story of His birth. While He slept among the animals, He was also destined to be our food for our journey. In the words of Thomas Aquinas’ Panis Angelicus: “The angels’ bread becomes the bread of men. The heavenly bread ends all symbols.
